Yes, I recently attended the Assessment Centre, and yes they do have streams of resource pools by role/skillsets, so there is a pool of Project & Programme Managers.
Yes there are bandings, and although I have not joined yet (was successfully offered) , I do understand they have bandings where salary ranges are associated. From my understanding (I'm sure someone who currently works can verify or correct me if I'm wrong), bands can range from approx 6 - 10 for full time non exec levels.
Band 7 are Senior Consultant type roles, Band 8 - Managing Consultant (Project Managers etc), Band 9 - Senior Managing Consultant (Programme Managers etc), Band 10 - Associate Partner (Director Level, Programme Directors etc). Above are Execs - Partners etc.
From what you say, you could fall into a Band 8 though am sure you may see some Project Leads going on PMs in Band 7. Prob your job to convince that you're Band 8.
They have a business division / service line of Application Innovation Services underwhich sits Complex System Integration, so I wonder if your job ad is for around that area.
In terms of prep, not much really other than the obvious. Know your CV and experience. They'll want to understand large scale SI projects you've managed, value, staff size, complexity etc. You'll have two Partner or Ass.Partner interviews. Could be situational questions but mainly going through your career history and how your experience may fit. Then a group exercise where they see how you interact with other colleagues, and then you'll all have to present at the end.
Couldn't tell you salary ranges for the level you maybe at, so I'd be guessing. Perhaps some who currently works there may have some ideas. Company Car scheme etc I know start at certain levels, I know Band 9 have it (and the level of car scheme / allowance rises as you move up), but not sure about the levels below. You should have a bonus scheme. I do know that there's no point haggling on the fringe benefits, as they are very set and mapped at what ever the band level is.
Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.
