DRS NIS is located on the East coast of Florida in Melbourne. DRS NIS is a leading designer and manufacturer of highly engineered, technically advanced, defense electronics for U.S. and allied international military and intelligence agency applications. The Senior Supply Chain Analyst - Small Business Compliance will lead and develop complex analyses for the Land Electronics and Electro-Optical & Infrared Systems businesses.

Primary & Essential Accountabilities

* Monitor, audit, and evaluate procurement compliance with government procurement regulations.
* Support government (e.g. DCMA, DCAA, etc. ) inquiries related to procurement documentation and/or processes
* Assist in the preparation for Government conducted Contractor Purchasing System reviews (CPSRs)
* Ensure and promote compliance with Utilization of Small Business Concerns
* Track small business progress; prepares and submits semi-annual Individual Subcontracting Reports (ISRs)
* Review and approve small business plans and reports from Lower Tier Subcontractors
* Recommends process and systems changes for efficient application of regulatory compliance
* Understand business forecasts and pinpoint any areas of vulnerability of company requirements, making recommendations on how to proactively reduce risk
* Lead procurement kick-off meetings with the procurement team defining the scope of the award and expectations on order placement
* Evaluate the contract flow downs from the Contracts department and ensure the appropriate flow-downs are identified and passed on to Purchasing
* Interact with Program Management on Program Cost issues and required details. Measure Target Costs against Proposal Costs and work with Supply Chain Management on methods to meet targets
* Consolidate requisitions to obtain leverage pricing
* Review open requisitions weekly and meet with appropriate Supply Chain Manager on the progress of order placement
* Review placement to requisition need date and length of time in purchasing
* Advice planning, engineering and drafting of item master errors, updates, or omissions in relation to mil-specs or new or obsolete items
* Advise planning, engineering and contracts of changes in prices or lead times that make and produce cost-prohibitive or lead times detrimental to production cycles
* Be the communication interface between commodity buyers and their suppliers with the program teams
* Attend weekly Program meetings and identify any "potential" issues that can be addressed early on
* Expedite critical components to ensure on-time deliveries. Be prepared to address any current or potential parts issues
* Look for creative ways to improve purchasing ability to make contributions to the company's goals
* Improve understanding of purchasing relationship to the over-all company plans and strategy
* Represent Supply Chain during Customer Negotiations and Customer Program reviews, Review and validate any bids, Supply copies of PO's/LOC's, Prepare charts for Customer presentations
* Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company


* Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in supply chain management for a US Federal contracting organization
* Advanced knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) an other agency supplements
* Working knowledge of the Small Business Subcontracting Program procedures as they relate to FAR
* Experience working in a CPSR compliant purchasing system
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Strong MS Office skills
* Able to meet multiple deadlines
* US Citizen or US person status required
